Following his run on the year’s biggest concert, The Millennium Tour, R&B singer-songwriter Lloyd announced a seven-city tour kicking off this fall. The tour, officially billed as “An Evening with Lloyd Unplugged,” puts acoustic treatments on the artist’s most popular songs.
Lloyd’s career has spanned decades, hitting airwaves as a member of the 90's kid group N-Toon before enjoying solo success with hits like his debut single, “Southside,” featuring R&B songstress Ashanti. He followed up with “You” featuring Lil’ Wayne (2006), “Get It Shawty” (2007), and “Lay It Down” (2010).
After a six-year hiatus, Lloyd returned to the scene with the heartfelt bluesy record, “Tru,” and an LP of the same name. Now, he’s on the road to give fans across the country an evening of the songs they know and love with a twist that puts Lloyd’s artistry front and center. The official schedule is as follows:
New York City on Oct. 23 at Sony Hall
Wilmington, Del. on Oct. 24 at The Queen
Washington, DC on Oct. 26 at The Howard Theatre
Atlanta on Oct. 27 and 28 at City Winery
Chicago on Nov. 13 at Chop Shop
